"Palace fans wouldn't mind having him back" screams the headline

I don't hold a grudge, but we are way beyond looking at 2nd division French players. As he considered us too small for his ambition 10 years ago, so he is far below ours now

If he was good enough, I'd have him back again. It would be worth it just to piss Simon Jordan off.

However, I suspect that Ligue 2 is a lower standard than our Championship (I've never watched Ligue 2 so I could be wrong) and that jump proves to be too large for many players.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Bostock has probably made back the missing money we could have earnt on him as he has been used as an example since.

I think youth players stayed and signed here because they could see what damage his early move did.

Well.... not Egbo.

Whatever happened to Egbo? In my Football Manager game he's one of the best players in my team. He's keeping Ivanovic out of my first XI

I don't know...last I heard he was with Borussia Mönchengladbach.

I'm still playing Palace in FM 2015....and totally cheating with the Genie.....The game thinks I'm a footballing god.

It never gets old beating Chelsea 5-0.

That's the version I'm on too. I'm living out the dream of blooding loads of youngsters. The first thing I did was bring in someone with a really good youth pedigree (I can't actually remember who, but I think I hired an ex Palace player for it....seems like real life) and so all the players that come through the youth ranks at 15 are almost good to go. I also hired David Platt to train them. In my head I imagine pundits discussing whether I'm foolish or a football genius getting so much out of youth players. The fact that I'm able to do it and stay just below mid-table in the Prem every year makes me realise that the game is probably a little bit easier than being an actual manager.

That and the fact the fans thought me signing Tom Cleverly was a good move.

Yeah I made the Cleverly mistake....What's wrong with him? Someone needs to kick those coding lines into shape before he fluffs all that latent talent.

I'm considering starting again as the lowest team I can find and playing without the Genie.....Though..now I say that I think that a session of self harming with a steak knife would probably be less painful.

I played as a tier 8 team on FM2012 (I downloaded a mod for additional tiers) and after some painstaking management with very little money got them to the Championship where I just sort of went stale. It was very hard to go beyond that because the ground and infrastructure didn't grow anywhere near as quickly as my progress through the tiers. In fact they couldn't because without the club being repeatedly bought out by richer investors, there was never funding for it. I think we got bought out once, but without modding the database, you can't influence the finances or regularity of buyouts.

Tried the same in FM2015 but it's a lot more realistic and I only managed two promotions before it became almost impossible to progress. The main reason is that I could never entice players to join my team that were any better than what I had (although I did stitch myself up by making myself a "Retired Sunday League Player" which meant no one in the game knew who I was).

Football Manager is an occupation that takes up valuable masturbation time. I don't think it's possible to do both satisfactorily. It's got to be one or the other.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

You are bang on. I've tried doing both at once and then realised I had a striker in goal.

Unless you can master super quick masturbation perhaps.

Two strikes and you're out so to speak.

Palace staying the Premiership may depend on it.
