Mandanda
Ward Dann Sakho Van-Annholt
Cabaye Milivojević
Zaha Sigurdsson Townsend
Benteke

Would love to see this team line up next season.

Think Mandanda is by far the best keeper we have, he just has not been given a fair chance.

Sakho is obviously in a different league to our current defenders so think it would be worth spending the 25 odd million on him.

Sigurdsson would be hard to convince to come, specially considering we had agreed a deal for him before he signed for Swansea. With his free kicks and corners Benteke would be in heaven. Probably around 25 million as well.

Players to be sell to raise funds:
- Joe Ledley
- Fraizer Campbell
- Bakary Sako (love this guy but again does not get
a chance
- Lee Chung Yong
- Fryers
- Mutch
- one of the 3 left backs we have (most likely Soure but would be a bit harsh and would get nothing for him

You said realistic. I read a report that Everton are keen on sigurdsson. I think that unrealistic. Mandanda leaving. Schlupp better than PVA.

Pickford

Jenkinson, Tomkins, Sakho, PVA

Luka, Cabaye

Townsend McCarthur Zaha

Benteke

0-0 for 60. Then Defoe on for McCarthur 4-4-2.

Bench:

Speroni
Dann
Schlupp
Puncheon
Defoe
Wickham
Ward

Unreal team and squad depth.

Can't see a Defoe as a sub. I like the player but he doesn't suit the way we play. Look at Dwight Gayle for instance.

Sunderland want £20 million plus for Pickford so don't think you will see him at Palace. Probably wont see Mandanda either.

Good team/ squad ,but I'm hoping we get a no 10 with a bit of flair and creativity. Plenty of depth there though and realistic.

Am I the only one who would have (and still expect) Dann to play a massive part in our first XI. I know he has had a below par season by his high standards, with many attributing this to the pressures of the captaincy, but I think he is top quality. It wasn't long ago that we were stating he should be in the England set up? We are fortunate now that we have strength in depth at CB, subject to Sakho signing on a permanent which is essential in my opinion, and I think Tomkins and Kelly are still very good but surely Sakho and Dann would be the ideal centre back pairing?

I'd go for:

Hennessey (Mandanda if he stays and is fit)
Ward, Sakho, Dann, PVA
Luka, Cabaye
Wilf, Puncheon, Townsend
Benteke

Obvious new signings may push out the likes of Ward, Puncheon, Townsend but that is a top 10 side without a doubt.

Funny enough I nearly put Dann ahead of Tomkins in mine. In the end I went for what I think we'll start the season like.

I see Sam favouring PVA over Schlupp but he played it safe the last few games with Schlupp being in-form and PVA coming back from injury.

I see Tomkins starting after his fine form but getting injured and then Dann comes in and claims it back. Even when Tomkins is back fit I see Dann doing enough to keep it.

That's all speculation and Tomkins might not get injured and Dann might not be good enough to permanently replace him if he does but history tells us both those things are likely to happen.
