All CBs still injured.

Tomkins and Cabaye most likely to be ready for Sunday but haven't been training with the team.

Dann could be risked if absolutely necessary but has little game time under his belt. Will decide on the day.

Townsend carrying an achilles problem so not training fully.

Whole squad been on light duties.

I read this as Tomkins or Dann (or both over the 90mins) to feature as better to risk in this game than United.

Scary stuff....

"Our crowd will be a big help, but they can't get nervous because that will pass over to the players. We have to hold our nerve." Allardyce

Wise words ... 90 minutes full support ... no excuses.

... what

I find that quite positive and would rather have a Cabaye that hadn't trained in the side rather than not have him at all.

Likewise a rusty Tomkins must be better than using Schlupp out of position again

If Tomkins is back, and Dann is on the bench, that is encouraging news. Fingers crossed for Cabaye and Townsend.

The right place at the right time

Haven't been training with the team doesn't mean haven't been training at all.

Encouraging. I expect Cabaye will play, Dann/Tomkins will cover 90 mins next to Kelly and I have a feeling the Townsend Achilles problem is bollox to make Hull unsure.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.

If Cabaye can come back in that should mean Milivojevic normal service restored and we should be able to unleash Wilf and Tekers on their defenders who will be running in terror to the water closet.

Someone made a very good point about players' "instincts" when playing out of position and it took about two minutes for that to gift a goal to City on Saturday. I think it's a basic requirement that players be playing in their right positions for this one, and that the wingers track back, so if Townsend isn't fully fit that could be a problem.

No stupid mistakes this time, please.

Catalog of errors.

Both Kelly and Puncheon were playing in their positions - Kelly awful header back into the 'Danger Zone' instead of away for a corner and Puncheon just stood there and never tracked Silva's run.
Townsend of course was further back than normal and he was caught ball watching. Terrible goal from a defensive standpoint.

On a positive, Lazar Markovic has just been ruled out for the rest of the season for them.

I'm hoping this is correct.

Well where I am the skies have been red and blue daily! Glorious. Doesn't have any baring on the game though.
