We were completely outclassed today by top international players most of whom would get a place in all top international squads.
For me its the distasteful reality of modern day football which I find hard to accept having followed Palace since the 60's. Dont get me wrong I'm not a Brexit whinger..far from it but I really dont feel we can ever compete at this level unless we end up selling our soul to overseas investors who just want a business opportunity to make money.
I am sure many of you will disagree with me but I question strongly whether we can ever compete at this level and if I sincerely want to.

That's what you get for £170m. Hull are a different matter.

At the top level it isn't even that but a playground for very rich individuals, no profit is made but profile.

Sorry we're not minnows, we have 3 or 4 players on or around £100k a week. We can compete with these teams on our day, 5-0 is unacceptable especially given they barely had to try.

Sorry but we are when 3 of our 1st choice centre backs are out injured as well as our midfield general!

That makes us impotent, spongy and prone to being passed through in midfield and extremely vulnerable at the back. Especially by a team like City who have a high passing rate, top midfielders and pace to burn.

We are paying for Sam's only real mistake since he joined. Playing a full side against Spurs. If we had rested 5 or 6 and lost that 3 or 4 nil we would have had Sakho et al fit for Burnley and won that. We are now back to the reality of the available first team losing 3 on the bounce and all out of confidence. No more points this season......just have to rely on others to not overtake us.

However, City are now banned from signing any players for their Academy.

I am often asked why I don't support Man City's nursery team in MLS, NYCFC instead of the Red Bulls. They simply don't understand whatMan City has become, an international football conglomerate. There is absolutely no fun in supporting that. How many clubs do they own now?

Hindsight's 20/20- a win vs Tottenham would have put us in 9th and safe, Sam had to go for it after the big 3 wins

We beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in April. And those games were a ton of fun for Palace fans. So respectfully, I disagree.
