Sitting in my office here listening to LBC (American talk radio is trash), curious, will defense spending and the Trident program factor into how you cast your votes in the upcoming GE?

None.

Personally I don't believe that we can afford it but others will say that we can't afford not to have it.

No one knows for sure so it becomes pretty pointless discussing it.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Indirectly. It is another example of why I could never vote for Corbyn

Corbyn's stane on defence is muddled at best. Between what he narurally believes and the position of the Labour party.

No, but Trident is a waste of money really, the UK needs a more flexible silo based solution for the modern age.

Trident is a cold war solution that's just a lot cheaper in terms of political capital than revising our nuclear policy and solution. We no longer require a short to medium range 'guaranteed last strike solution'

We just need some convincing deterrents. Papier mache bombs, inflatable tanks and pictures of Northern women.

There is an episode of 'yes minister' where the PM wants to scrap it and Sir Humphrey has the usual fit as though no-one should ever dare to question it and the PM says 'well who does it deter then?

Answer from an apopletic Sir Humphrey 'France'.

Haha. Although I do want us to fund our military and deterrents, I have my doubts about the effectiveness of Trident if somebody had a pop at us.

I would vote Labour if Jezza said his first action as PM would be to launch our Trident missiles at Buenos Aires, Madrid and Donald Tusk's office in Brussels.

Other than that happening, not a jot.

I wish Jodie Marsh was our president. She's like plasticine, you can mould her into any job. Nothing would please me more than Marsh having her beautifully manicured finger on a literal nuclear missile launch button.
