Afternoon ladies and Gents.

I am aware quite a few of you on here may know Del (DELEAGLE) either in real life , on this site or both.

Last month following a throw away comment to his GP and some follow up tests and investigations a diagnosis of cancer was made. The following week (April 4th ) he went into May day to have a bowel re section and the tumour removed. Was expected home after 5 days or so. Complications meant the join leaked and two further operations have unfortunately been required.

There have been lots of complications and as of Sunday he was under sedation in icu and on a ventilator with a high temperature and infection which he is receiving anti biotics for . He picked up yesterday and was off the ventilator and able to talk. Today he has gone slightly downhill again with low oxygen levels , high blood pressure and a racing heart which they think is linked to the infection and fluid on the lungs has drs querying pneumonia although I must stress this has not been confirmed at the time of writing.

For those of you who are on Facebook there is a group called 'We have a ginge' which is being update twice daily by two close friends who are getting updates as to his condition from his wife. Please feel free to join..it is being used to send good wishes, post photos and stay updated as to what is going on.

For those who are not on there I will try and update here as and when.

In the time I have known him he has shown to be a lovely, kind , warm hearted generous friend. His last update on here was being upset as I was unable to join a party he had gone to after the Chelsea game. That's typical of him. Wanting to make people feel welcomed and looked after .

We are all wishing him well and have everything crossed for good news on his. condition.
