Even though we have a hard run in, this team now is easily good enough to get 4 more points from our remaining 6 games. We might not even need 4 points, but if we get them, Swansea would then need effectively 12 points to overhaul us (because of our goal difference giving us an extra point) so they would need 12 points from only 15 points available!!!! it is not going to happen!!!! Also everyone keeps going on about our hard run in and yet we play both Burnley and Hull at home, who both have the worst away records in the league. I still fancy we might nick a couple of draws at Liverpool this weekend and next week against Spurs at Selhurst. There really should not be anything to worry about now with the players we have and the confidence we have as well

I think it will turn out that we have enough points already as really can't see Swansea winning three of their last five.

6 Cup Finals left. 2 wins still needed. Tough but doable.

I think what is important, is that we've put ourselves in a position where even a monumental achievement from Swansea might not be enough to send us down. Hull also need to make up at least six points due to GD, and Swansea effectively need to get at least two wins and two draws from their remaining five games. 15 Points for Swansea to play for.

Feel confident that we will get four points elsewhere though.

I agree about our run in; I actually think we play better against the better sides.

The Swans need 8 points to overtake us, so effectively 3 wins from 5 or 2 wins and 2 draws from 5. Now, on paper, this is doable because they have a soft run in - only Man U away would seem to be unwinnable. But this assumes that we do not get another point. Actually 1 point doesn't change the dynamic, but two points pushes Swansea to need 3 wins and a draw - so they can afford to lose only 1 game of the remaining 5. Next week is going to cause some bums to squeak, because it's entirely likely that we'll lose to both Liverpool and Spurs, while Swansea may well beat Stoke at home. But, after that, we have both Burnley and Hull to come at home, needing just 2 points from those two games. And while we're hosting Burnley, Swansea are at Old Trafford. My recommendation for the weak of heart: put your bicycle clips on this weekend, and maybe a bag over your head.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Anyone who was around in 1993 won't be taking anything for granted, we beat Ipswich last home game and were celebrating staying up at the POTY do that night, but we failed to get the point we needed at Man City or Arsenal probably complacent because Oldham and Sheffield.UTD still needed to win their last 3 games and they both did exactly that and we went down!! It's not over till the Fat Sam sings!!!
