Rowett refused to sign a new contract and I think they thought they'd bring in Zola before he became unavailable rather than let Rowett see out his contract. Obviously that panned out badly, but I think that was the logic.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'harry rednap' by Guntrisoft is he that good?. very mixed record.good and bad. not sure he will still be up for a fight that he will have at brum. myself ,I think he will be running back to sandbanks within a year
