Off to liverpool away this Sunday. Anyone who has been up there are there any tips of what to do, things to see, places to avoid etc .

Driving up Sunday, going to the game and then staying Sunday night and possibly Monday night . So a flying visit but a shame to go all that way and not experience a bit of the place .

Thanks

Albert Docks will fill up a day. Plently of decent shops boozers and grubberies plus the Beatles museum. Guessing you'll not be too heavily boozing but Mathew Street is the site of the old Cavern and is a mini road full of bars.

Liverpool's pretty cool - I've always enjoyed it.

Seconded. Albert Dock is probably the place to head for if you're spending a day in Liverpool. You'll find the Maritime Museum, Tate Liverpool and The Beatles Story exhibition there along with a variety of cafes and shops. And if you are into the Beatles at all, you'll find a selection of interesting tours to take and landmarks to visit.

Liverpool ONE is excellent for shopping and is popular with visitors, but may not offer much more than you already have locally anyway.

If you have time, you might want to consider taking the famous ferry ride across the Mersey, or a boat trip along the river with views of the waterfront.

Liverpool is a very attractive city to visit, one of the best in the country. Have a lovely time and be prepared to take lots of pictures!

Mathew street on a Saturday night is a must, not sure what it'd like on a Sunday though.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

You could attend one of the many courses in stealing cars, followed by a meal. The local delicacy is dead cat.

Afterwards you'll need to hold a 2 minutes silence for the cat though.

Is he the fella that raped a couple of kids? Didn't one of them die running away from him?

Visit the hubcap museum in Croxteth?

Score some spice in Toxteth?

Ferry cross the Mersey?
