Ok, following on from having produced the same thing last season attached is a graph of what we need to achieve as things stand. Assuming that the club in 18th wins all their remaining games we need another 13points....or 4 wins and a draw from our last 7 games. I had it from last year...yes the team in 18th could only get 46...which is why the target is 47 to confirm safety...and that's all the graph represents; what's needed to stay up...hence nothing for teams above us...clearly

But we could stay up without winning or drawing another game?

Swansea have 28 points with 6 games left. Are you seriously suggesting they will get 12 points from 6 games? 10 points at a push would be a huge improvement on their current average. Therefore, 6 points would easily keep us up. 2 wins in the last 7 games or one win and 3 draws. Likely, 5 points would be enough but 40 is the same old target it has always been.

I'm not suggesting anything...just merely stating the 'theoretical' safety line as things stand TODAY. Clearly as the games go by and the results take affect then the target will likely lower. As Woolsey pointed out they may not get anymore points at all.

This is my worst case. Swansea getting ten points from their remaining games is the best I could se, however its very unlikely. Two wins and we are home and dry, 6 from 7.

Here we go again!!! This is why i cannot wait for us to confirm our safety and the season to be over. Every year someone comes up with - What if!!! What if Swansea win all their remaining games!!! of course it won't happen. They have only won 6 games all season!!! Now all of a sudden they are going to win all of their remaining 6 games!!!! Oh can i also remind the OP that Swansea also have to play Man United and Everton, so i doubt there would be more than 2 points at best in those two games. Also as one of the other guys on here mentioned, even if Swansea did perform a miracle, there are actually five other teams apart from Palace in the mix !!!! So it does not just affect us. Anyway back to reality, we all know 38 points will be enough which we should get comfortably

It's just some stats.. so chill. There Will always be those who start thinking about it.. this just lays it out there.. nothing more nothing less. I also think the word 'Theoretical' pretty much covers my thoughts on it being a possibility. Lol... talk about an over reaction Edited by Lyons550 (13 Apr 2017 5.49pm)

I 'got it' straight away, but it seems maybe others didn't!
