Just a quick one,
If someone is on the sex offenders register (for whatever reason) must they legally inform there employer? Or any new employer were they to change jobs?
Asking for a friend!

It would depend on the type of offence that has been registered, and the nature of the job.

Your friend would be best to check with his/her officer that deals with them.

This thread has the potential to be comedy gold.

Don't ruin it, people.

Is your friend called Carol Bowditch by any chance? She features in the attached shaggy dog story.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

Give this chap the benefit of the doubt. His friend might be concerned about working alongside a paedo, rather than being a paedo himself.

I understand the concern. I work with a bunch of perverts and some of them have rubbed off on me a bit.

so, your mate is either a paedo or is working with one, either way , it seems common knowledge. after a period of time, rumours will flow and everyone will know anyway.

This day and age, most job apps instantly ask if you have a criinal record so at which point, said person has either lied or been economical with the truth.

anyway, hope the job at the creche is going well.

Even if he is a kiddy fiddler, at least he's not a Brighton fan. Unless he is. In which case, they shouldn't employ him.

Some jobs don't have application forms. Cv and letter to agency or employer for example.
