Top of the table, 10 points clear of 3rd. 6 games left with none of their remaining opponents being higher than 10th. Huddersfield - in 4th - have two games in hand but are 12 points behind.

They also look like they'll come up as champions; Newcastle still have to play two of the pay-off contenders.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Fair play to them, I wish them no success but they deserve it. Really hope we stay up so we can smash them next season

Yes, sadly it looks like they will be coming up this season... About time really, it's taken them long enough!!

Still they will need to spend big. They will have big problems if they believe Murray and Baldock will be a good enough strike force in the Prem.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

If you look at the thread in Transfer Talk you will see that a huge number of Palace fans still think that he's good enough for us.

Fair play to them, they are going to be promoted by living within their means and only racking up a quarter of a billion debit.

They are determined not to spend any money on overpaid mercenaries, which means that they wont be purchasing any new players for the Premier League. Good luck with that!

Hopefully they will be relegated with an embarrassingly low number of points having being beaten at least twice by Palace.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Current squad and they'd struggle to beat a single team in the Prem, but in reality they're bound to do a bit of a Bournemouth and replace a lot of their squad quickly. Their chairman seems to have an endless supply of dosh and they seem to be quite a good draw for elderly ex premier league players....the big stadium that's always full helps. They could well build themselves a team capable of survival very quickly.

I really don't want this to happen. I want them to play like crap and for us to really rub their noses in it twice, but it's a very likely scenario.

The only thing that could trip them up is their arrogance. If they think they ran away with the Championship and don't realise they need to replace a significant number of players then they could be down by Christmas. Also, I suppose FFP could come into it too as they may not be able to just replace a squad without increasing their wages at a faster rate than FFP permits.

Oh I just hope something goes wrong for them anyway. Anything.

I've never thought of Chris Hughton as arrogant as I've always thought him to be one of the better football managers that knows what he's doing

Corruption is rife in the Football League!

I hope they do come up and we win two great games against them every year and the fixture becomes a must see for the neutral fan like the other two huge derbies we ignore every season but not this one..........

^ this. Chris Hughton knows what he will need to do to stay in this league and he isn't arrogant at all. I'm gutted they're coming up from a rivalry and personal point of view - they seem to have more arrogant, fairweather tosser fans than any other club in my opinion. (Just wait for the same old bellends to emerge onto these boards again, having been silent for years). BUT, from a football point of view I have to admire the job the manager and team have done this season and also, when you consider where they were a few seasons ago, after the council shafted them, it is a great football survival story.
