Jesus what an idiot. According to him tomorrow night's game is a must win because of the hard fixtures we have coming up. Clearly he didn't notice that we had quite a hard fixture on Saturday and didn't do too badly or that 4 of our next 5 games after this are at home. And how does a man who can't even pronounce even the easiest foreign names hold down a job as a football analyst anyway?

I've always found Merson to be pretty pro-Palace even when everyone else is having a pop at us. Ah well, I won't get my knickers in a knot about what any pundits think. Unless it's Gary Lineker. Or Alan Shearer. Or Adrian Durham. Bunch of c**ts.

"Hull are relegated because I've not even heard of their new manager. You need an Englishman with knowledge of the Prem". Or words to that affect. Hull have since gone on to not a lose home game under him, also the manager he knew nothing of hasn't lost a home game for all clubs in 3 and a half years.

Beaten Liverpool and Man Yoo in those games too, not bad going that.

Merson is an idiot if he thinks its a must win game for us, we have no chance of getting into Europe now.

Before the Chelsea game had you told me we'd get 3 points from the next 3 games i'd be delighted, as it is it's an oppurtunity to keep the ball rolling and take advantage, with the next two games surely easier on paper than the Chelsea game. had we lost to Chelsea i'd have said we need a result against the Saints. Merson does like us but probably realises that the points to be safe will be high this year.

In December and January we won one league game. Bournemouth away. At some point before the 4 wins on the bounce, all pundits thought we were doomed apart from Merson.

He's right - it is must-win. Of our final 9 games, 6 of those we are highly likely to lose, let's be honest. Merson is talking a lot of sense.

Merson has done pre match predictions all season on the sky website, and I've always been surprised how positive he has been about us, often predicting a positive result for us. If we lose tomorrow night we could easily go on a poor run.
