I won't disguise the fact that I rate him so highly.
In my opinion, he's the best boss we've had for many a long year.
The FA got all precious and sacked the man that was meant to manage his country.
West Ham thought they were too good for him but they were wrong.
And now here he is with us. Talk about lucky!
Should we get relegated it won't be on his shoulders. We'll have the last idiot incumbent to thank for that.

I love Allardyce. He's everything I want in a Palace manager...tough, uncompromising, the right side of northern dour and extremely professional.
I can even forgive him his friendship with Ferguson.
Are you in agreement with me that he's top notch or are you non plussed?
There's no judgement. Tell it how you see it.

What always made me laugh were the comments about Pardew when he was made manager. 'He's one of us' or 'he gets us.'
What absolute bollocks!
We've now got a manager who truly does get us.

I'm a big fan. Aways was. The way the West Ham cretins treated him highlighted how totally deluded and classless they are. He's a top manager.

If he does the impossible and keeps us up, we really will push on to become an established Premier Legue club under his reign.

Totally agree with all that, Meister.
Also, the fact he refers to the club as 'we' or 'us' and suchlike. He's a class act. Welsh Tone never took us to his heart.
We've got an England manager here.
Blimey!

Felt from the beginning that England's loss was our gain. When Pardew was here, I wanted to give him a chance - mostly because I want us to have a manager for more than a couple of years. We need consistency and continuity.

2016-2017 has been a wake-up call. Things can go South quite quickly in this league. So let's hope Sam can stay with us for a while and manage us to 9th place for five straight years. I'd take that.

I like Sam, I always have, solid manager. I didn't think he was right for England though but he could have proved me wrong.

I think he is just what we need at the moment and hopefully for a good couple of seasons more. We need a bit of stability.

I liked Pardew as well and was hoping for a bit of stability from him too but it was quite clear that while he may give your club a much needed initial boost, he always talked sh!te and didn't really know what he was doing most of the time.

Just goes to show, while you may want someone to be good, it doesn't mean they will be.

Let's hope Sam can give us the stability we need for long enough to get the stadium built.

Crikey, you need to get your toungue out of his @rse. Stop going on about him. It's taken him an awfully long time (arguably too long) to get going, but we are certainly harder to beat now and I'm pleased he's proving me wrong.

I do however have the concern, that I also had with Pulis, that they are both Premier League journeyman managers with no particular love for the club. He'll get bored with us/we'll get bored of him in a couple of years and we'll be back to square one.

We've definitely turned the corner and he deserves a lot of credit for that as we were dead and buried a few weeks ago. The new signings have been excellent.
