I see both have been charged with violent conduct following the alleged 'stamp' and elbow incidents. I am intrigued by the fact that there has been no mention (by the FA under the charges) of Ibra throwing Mings to the floor earlier nor him 'stamping' on Mings immediately before (as Rooney was tackled). I presume these are seen as irrelevant but can't help think they'd be on the charge sheet if it were the other way around.

Also, I'd like to see Rooney charged with Bringing the Game into Disrepute - he claimed it was a definite stamp, he was right there and saw it despite video & photographic evidence clearly showing he was facing in the opposite direction whinging at the ref to get the decision. Lying b*****d.

If I'd been on a massive bender just before coming to work and then making a complete pigs ear of it I'd probably get the sack. Friend and Taylor should be pretty embarrassed and shouldn't really be in charge of any games of football for a while.

Can't really understand how anyone can 100% say that Mings meant to do him.

I mean, he probably did, but a split second later he's intercepting the ball. It takes some pretty quick reflexes to perfectly execute a no look stamp followed by an interception in the space of about a second.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

You don't have to mean something to get done for dangerous/reckless play. He also didn't react after making contact which a reasonable person who did it by accident probably would have done. He must have felt it and tried to act like nothing had happened. Looked pretty guilty. Even if he didn't mean it, trying to execute a long jump over an opponent's head when they're on the floor is reckless and dangerous. Even if he didn't mean it he could have seriously and permanently injured Ibrahimovic. Brain injuries are really quite serious! I think they should both get bans and Mings should be 4 games. Ibra's was not totally dissimilar to the Jedinak one against Wet Spam 2 seasons ago so I expect the same punishment.

Both red card offences. Both should have been sent off. Both will rightly get retrospective bans.

Which is worse? Ibra looks more deliberate. He says that Mings jumped into his arm and there is it would appear no attempt to look around and check if Mings is there, but the arm definitely swings and more than seems necessary. But potentially Mings is more dangerous. He is certainly less in control of the outcome and the damage he will do.
