Whats your view?. Being a Palace fan is about Passion, Pride, Energy and Noise. Over the past 6 months we have all been extremely frustrated with our team and for Jack who I do not know it meant taking extreme action be it right or wrong I want you guys to tell me whether you think he should now be staring down the barrel at the age of 23.

Who is he? Is he the one who attacked Damo? If so ban the prick for life from selhurst.

Yes he ran onto the pitch and confronted Damo over the Sunderland performance. Attacked is probably a little over stated. But his actions were aggressive and naive.

I love palace and I was furious but it's a game it was out of order and the rules exist so that that doesn't happen. I feel bad for someone who can't see the team they love but he deserves it, he was at fault and he should be made an example of. No place for that in football.

I agree, however I remember a match about 6-7 years ago when we were playing crap in the championship and a couple of lads from the Holmesdale ran on to the pitch mid game and confronted the players. They faced execution by Umbo Bongo and Simon Jordan stepped in hauled them into his office and let them off, because he felt they had a point. Rather than nail the bloke to a cross how about calling him out chatting with the board and the player and if everyone is happy move on..

Nah. You have to draw a line. So every disgruntled person who fancies a meeting with the board and a player of his/her choice simply has to run on the pitch? We all get frustrated. We don't do that though and it didn't make a difference, did it? No need to prosecute unless he has previous though.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

The idiot needs to be sent on an anger management course, at least. Totally unacceptable behaviour. If he is allowed back into a sports arena without some sort of counselling, then things will only get worse.

f***ing Hell if the board were to chat to every disgruntled Palace fan then there would be a line a mile long.

I personally would ban him for life. That was a completely unacceptable thing to do. Also, I can't really understand why he chose to comfront Damo either as he wasn't really having a bad game compared to others that day Don't think he should go to jail though.

Been a supporter since 94 and i have seen a lot of stuff that made my blood boil, but at the end of the day, you don't cross the line (literally) and walk onto the pitch, esp in the prem with the camera's.

I think part of the reason professional sports entities are hard on this kind of thing is that people remember when Monica Seles was stabbed by a crazy fan back in the 90's. If they let this lad off, then who's to say the next angry fan won't throw a punch, or worse?

He made a silly mistake in the heat of the moment. Yes, he should receive a punishment of some kind, but unless he is a repeat offender I think a life ban would be going too far.
