Despite him being top goal scorer. He brings little else to the team. His lazy, lack of movement and look uninterested and especially in the 1st half he had the service. If we manage to stay up and we're offered the 32m, we paid we should sell. If he doesn't score we may aswell play Campbell.

I'd usually agree with you but thought he worked extremely hard in the first half, chasing everything down and pressuring a very nervy keeper. Not so sure about second half but as a team, we dropped off somewhat.

Maybe it's his fitness levels or that bad leg injury he suffered at Liverpool. I'd much rather wickham (when fit).

i do not think he is lazy he just looks slow and ponderous and his ball control is not that good neither, but he is still the best striker we have ,but a £30 mill player no way watched him play a few times last season for liverpool and every time i saw him i thought that he was very poor ,any how lets hope he improves in the remaining games, and it was a great win yesterday

He could score, some important goals but what question is his link up play. Especially 2nd half was very poor imo.

for long periods in the 2 nd half i was not sure if he was still on the pitch ,he also seems so hesitate in front of goal too, but his work rate like townsend has improved under sam

Really don't understand this.

His work rate yesterday was good all game.

He was a threat every time the ball got near him. His link up play was pretty good. He hesitated once on his weaker foot, but that was a chance he created all by himself.

He can't be expected to chase every lost cause for 90 minutes, he needs more support. Yesterday when the midfield dropped deep he had to go back to picking and choosing when to chase. In the first half when he had Wilf, townsend, Cabaye and Punch supporting him, he was a le to really pressure their back three.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

He's okay but not he's £30 millions worth of okay. I couldn't help comparing Benteke with Lukaku when watching MotD last night.

Latish in the 2nd half of the Boro game Benteke received the ball in the opposition half with an opportunity to run at goal. However, with the ball at his feet, he looked indecisive - okay he held the ball but was a tad ponderous and in the end laid it off to Townsend who blasted over. Now watch Lukaku scoring the 2nd Everton goal. He powered forward with pace and confidence, knowing exactly what he was going to do, not looking to lay off, shrugged the defender away, and scored.

Benteke is big bloke and I was hoping that he would have more authority and strength on the ball and be harder to shake off in the way Lukaku is.

Doesn't work anywhere near hard enough. Needs to chase down and work their back line all game not just when he chooses to. If he can't start training earlier and finish later.

By far our best striker, held the ball up well, linked up with overs well, had a few good chances. I was more disappointed with Townsend towards the end when Benteke played him in, instead of playing it to the back post where Benteke was reeling off, he blasted it from an angle he had 0% chance of scoring. It's those sort of choices that could cost us big, and we could of been punished due to his greed. Article in the mail suggesting benteke was furious with him after the game, and rigthtly so in my eyes.

Benteke is a tall bloke, but he's not a big bloke. He has virtually no shoulders , must have his shirts especially made. He is a threat though, but he had a free header early on that went straight at the keeper, 3 ft either side and it was a goal.
I think he will go through his career scoring goals, but not being spectacular.

I thought he was better yesterday than he has been. Carried a threat but still needs more men around him. He's also contributing more at the back, compared with earlier when he was missing when needed to do what he's best at - winning headers.
