The replay made it look worse. He was reacting to the previous foul and still off balance. If there was any intention or weight behind it he would have injured the gent player, but he jumped up and got on with it so no harm done and no need for hysteria.

Still, missed the ball and studs showing so a definitely a red.

Sort of tackle he gets away with in the Premier league, get a ref whos not familiar with the 'big clubs' players and off he goes!! Definite red all day long!

Wasn't pretty slow mo made it look worse than it was.

However cost his club the chance to progress further in the Champions League. Mr Levy won't be pleased!

Petulant little winker .... he can get very aggressive on the pitch if he thinks he's been wronged. Such a shame because when interviewed he seems very sensible and modest with it.

Yo got him good and proper at White Hart Lane though...honours even there I think.

But Alli is one of the most unlikeable characters I've seen in years.

Absolutely disgusting tackle. He jumped in because he lost his head because the ref didn't give him a foul a few seconds before.

Not sure how you can say the replays made it look worse - they just showed what a shocking tackle it was!! Horrible.

The guy was lucky it was so close to his knee meaning his leg had a bit of bend. If that had been 6 inches lower it would've snapped his leg. Filthy challenge, which he has in his locker. Gifted player but he needs to control his head.

"They got his own song 'He's just too good for you', it's quite unbelievable but when you see it and he's facing up someone - I actually feel sorry for them, 'Cos he actually is" - Ian Holloway

Top player but that was a shocker and rightly sent off. I like a player who has a bit of a nasty side, Jedinak had it (elbow at WHU)

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years
