Very dangerous and potentially very counter productive. He's just given his old team mates a massive incentive to prove him wrong. I really hope this doesn't come back to bite us on the arse

come on, that's like relying on luck. if we get beat, its hardly because he said they weren't as good as us. He'll just end up looking stupid.
I think them being in the bottom three is incentive enough to get some points.

I don't think it is like relying on luck. How many times have massive favourites been beaten after showing a lack of respect for 'inferior' opponents, in any sport, not just football. I guarantee Moyes will be quoting him in the pre-match team talk. In a game of such fine margins that little extra incentive can make all the difference.

I'm glad he said it. Bring your most motivated best Blunderland, we'll still win.
This is one individual comment from a disgruntled former player that tried everything in their power to block his move away. He is going to try and wind them up a bit.
I'm nervous about the game. Its a must win game but feel nothing over PVA's comments.

I hope they concentrate on him and forget about Wilf and Benteke tbh.

What odds Moyes prints those words and sticks them on the changing room wall? Fairly high I'd say.

Not the wisest comment

And what odds Palace team are really really scared that he does?
Pretty low I'd say.
As said before, losers and cowards start looking for excuses before a ball is kicked.
PVA is absolutely right. We have the better team. If we play to our full potential we'll win. Regardless of what type of wallpaper Moyes uses this afternoon!

We may be a better team but what if they start the game revved up, motivated because the of some ill-chosen words? It's not about us being cowards or losers.

The threat of relegation will have the players fired up. A quote from a former player won't have any impact on the match.
