One thing is for sure SP has again without doubt backed the manager. I think it has been a very good but expensive window, when all fit the squad looks stronger and more balanced. Just hope they turn the corner and get us out of the dire situation.

Sounds like there has been a lot of work going on that we will never truly know the extent of. We've had some good signings so far and I would expect that we aren't quite done yet either. I'm sure that the importance of the rest of this season on the club's future is not lost on anyone at the club. Being in a desperate situation in the League means that we also are forced into a desperate situation in the transfer market also. Given this reality, I think we've done really well, now it's back to the players the manager AND the fans to keep us up.

Should have done this in the bloody summer! Two left sided players in. Jedinak replacement finaly. Another Striker (Kone) Better option than Campbell! Very very good window and we now I think have a decent squad that should start picking up some points now. Be even better if we can get Sakho but unlikely now as i can't be on loan. Shall we wait just a few hours and assess when it's actually finished? The only thing that can be said at the moment is that we should have done business earlier.

Well the consensus was that the Summer window was great. So I will wait until they get on the pitch and hopefully we will be happy in May.

I am already pleased with what we have managed. PVA is a great upgrade and Schlupp looks like a decent replacement for Bolasie (albeit a different style). If we can also get Milivojevic - does anyone else remember the transfer deadline day when we supposedly signed two eastern european players only for it all to fall through due to work permits? Then he looks like an experienced replacement for Jedinak. If we can get Kone, then he is a massive upgrade on Campbell. Sakho would be a brilliant fourth Centre Back, if not then the ex-Juventus player would be a good back up. It feels like we have a good squad now. Regardless of how the next 55 minutes pans out. And a win tonight, a clean sheet, a goal for in the 90th minute, a team that looks like it can be bothered... it suddenly looks bright again.

You may be right Rudi, but my bet is Wilf goes really soon in the summer to balance the books. If I were SA I would be tempted to keep Townsend as Wilf' replacement because he's a far better player than he's shown to date and -- the way values are -- the player he could be would cost a bomb to acquire.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
