Remember thinking after the weekend that Hulls new manager has something about him and he could well keep them up. There performance tonight so far makes me think they have a huge chance. I really really struggle to think of 3 teams worse than us this season - Sunderland and that's about it

I posted during their game with Chelsea that they look like a decent team and more worryingly have a lot of spirit. They look a better team than us

I agree somewhat, still think hull will go down, especially if snoggrass leaves. I would say Swansea are worse the us but just look at the results they had with us. Still there are worse teams then us, we do have a very good squad and there is still hope

Now is the time for Allardyce to earn his fat pay cheque and get us out of this mess that Pardew's left us in. I'm hoping he can and then he'll deserve his 4M bonus. Sadly it's looking a task beyond him as he looks to sign and re-aquaint himself with former players rather than work with what he has. We need 6 or 7 wins now with Hull and Swansea both hitting a bit of form, just can't see it myself.

Hull just having the high teams get after a new manager comes in, nothing unusual, we just didn't get it as our team was drained completely of confidence. They will fall off again soon, they don't have enough players, and they don't have a great team, their best player will probably leave so

Looking spirited in defeat against the big teams is not what keep clubs flirting with relegation up. It will be the results against other teams in the bottom half, and the odd point against the top six that will keep one of us up. It seems that there are 3 teams in 5 to go down, we are one of the 5. I was more worried about our performance against Swansea than anything else I have seen from the others. Agreed that the next dozen games or so is when Sam will earn his money.

Hull are definatly going to fight all the way, Silva seems to be a very good manager. We need a victory to get our confidence back a bit. Look at West Ham they were rubbish and when Payet therw a strop the team seemed to unite and they have won their last three. Amazing what a victory or bit of team spirit can do. Its going to be tough as i can see a gap starting to open up.

Since he joined Hull they have won all their 3 home games (League and cup) beating Swansea, Bournemouth and Man Utd.They do seem in a better place than we are at present.

I'd rather have a proven prem manager in charge than a relative unknown.

I was/am concerned after watching last night but lets not forget how easy it is for a poor team to go on a good cup run. It's happened pretty much from the dawn of the FA Cup and when you think about Wigan and Portsmouth winning cups recently it doesn't actually mean too much in terms of league standings. It looks like they have a lot of spirit and it could translate to the league but hopefully they are massively deflated after beating Man Utd and it meaning literally nothing. Hopefully they lose their next Prem match after having 15 shots all hit the crossbar and their opponent fluke an offside goal and that destroys them and settles them back down to normal.

This is all true, Hull do indeed seem to have picked up since the new manager came in. But didn't they do that when Phelan stepped up as caretaker manager? They started the season as favs to go down and their early form surprised everyone...but it didn't last did it. In terms of form I would have to agree Hull are doing better than us and we do look like the second worst team in the league...on form. But we have a better squad than Hull and it's up to SA to get the results that the squad are capable of.
