Being lazy and can't be bothered to create 2 separate threads.

Does anyone know why before the game Speroni came over to the HF and waved to the fans and hugged a few? Please say he isn't leaving!

Secondly, any post match comments about Schlupp? He's vital if we want to play 3-5-2 as our wing back. Never mind the fact he's our brand new 12 million pound player and the only player out of 20 not to turn us down. Hope he's not out for months.

He should have been in goal today!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Mandanda will go back as number 1. I'm no fan of Wayne but he played well today. Speroni wouldn't have stopped us losing 0-1.

Sorry Miles I have to disagree, Hennessey was as per usual not up to the standard. The easiest part of being a keeper is shot-stopping, most outfield players can even do this ok. Where a keeper determines how good he is is decision making and positioning, both of which WH is poor at - gets beaten in his side of the goal for free kicks for example.

Today; 1 good save, a few standard saves. Spoiled the ball twice needlessly and hesitated to come out, went, went back and only a tight angle prevented it costing us.

Doesn't inspire confidence as Mandanda does, and Speroni while not without flaws is still a step up from Hennessey.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
Mile Jedinak

I thought Hennesey had a good game today, a couple of spillages aside, that said I wanted to see Speroni start. Not sure the outcome would have been any different if he had though.

Does anyone know is Mandana still injured or is it a case that he is no longer interested in playing for us and will go this window?

Wayne & Jeffrey played well today.
We've kept a clean sheet today but unfortunately at the wrong end.
Jeffrey looks like a good addition and (as another poster has said) reminds me of Dean Gordon. He gave us some balance on the LHS and even had a shot (blocked).

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

Some people are never happy - as Jonathan Pearce said at half-time on MOTD, it was WH 0 - Everton 0. He was our best player and if anyone thinks Speroni would have saved the goal then they are deluded.

WHY do you think Wayne has the number 13 on his shirt and Jules has number 1 on his?....Wayne will never ever be the shot stopper that Jules is and why on earth did Wayne sit on his arse when their shot came in and let them score yesterday because if he had stayed on his feet he could have saved it. Wayne is like a wet blanket and just flaps all the time. I know he did some good saves yesterday but most were pretty standard ones that most keepers are capable of which was also stated on the match commentary. I said at the beginning of the match when I saw the team sheets that with Wayne in between the sticks we would lose...and guess what we lost!!

That is the most flimsy argument ever put forward! JS has number 1 on his shirt because he was here first. Shirt numbers have nothing to do with team selection - otherwise why would Puncheon be 42?
