He missed a good chance in the first half. Had a couple of shots that went wide and hit row z with another free kick. Disappeared in the second half.A replacement for Wilf he ain't. Nowhere near Prem standard yet but would improve with experience.
Ironically Dross was probably our best player (who started) today. Was a threat all night.

Andros wasted loads. Shot when he should have crossed and it wasn't till Benteke came on he actually pulled his finger out.

Little bit disappointed by kaikai tonight, I guess I kind of expected a young raw wilf from the championship days.
Sullay looked really sluggish as if his legs had gone by about 50mins, can't fault his effort but definitely not premier league level yet, another loan or two definitely needed.
Quick response to the previous poster, I think you're being a tad harsh on townsend tonight, he put in a real shift. There was a real lack of movement from players around him which made him second guess some decision's. Best performance he's had for us since the stoke thrashing I'd say.

Young player - leave him alone.
He made mistakes but he will surely realise this morning that it is not as easy as he thought it might be - a good lesson to take forward.
He is definitely one for the future.
Townsend looked good - but so he should given the oppo and him being an England International.
It is his league form that concerns me!

IT is everyone's league form that concerns me not just Townsend. I wasn't having a pop at Kai Kai. Just saying to all those that clamour for his first team inclusion that on last nights performance he isn't ready. It doesn't mean he will never be ready.

I just didn't see enough from Kaikai which makes me think he will make the step up.

Other players seemed to be getting frustrated with him and drifted out the game. I hope I am wrong but the decision making for me was very poor.

I saw Kaikai play on 'Loan' for Brentford and wasn't that impressed with him.

He likes to be given a role to express himself and he says this is key to him.Not the 'prettiest' of players with the ball at his feet but he can be explosive. When he first came to our club for a trial he was sent away and returned to his sunday football. He came back again and the rest as they say is history.

Kaikai has a good future as a professional footballer, but not in the Premier League,he has lots of ability but he is too slow.
From what I have seen Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a much better prospect but never gets a mention.
Noor Husin who has been on the bench recently is also an excellent talent and he will make it in the Premier League.

Hard to judge him on one performance. If he had stuck that early chance away you may have seen a different player.
He definitely drifted out of the game in the 2nd half.

I was there and on lasts nights game I agree KAI KAI is not ready for the first team.

All Townsend needs to do is beat a man on the left and feed Benteke he will score.

Good Substitutes by Sam yesterday, plus a good move by moving Flamini further forward to create Bentekes first goal.

Still in Cup.

Now for Everton.Sam can choose between Wayne and Jules.

Worries me he didn't cement a place at Brentford where I would expect someone with Premier talent to do so. But may be he just needs a decent run of games. I really hope he can develop.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years
