Most of the CPFC 2010/SP sycophants have gone very quiet on HOL. Share with us how things seem to you now, after all the abuse that you gave any of us who dared to raise whether CPFC 2010/SP were out of their depth. Edited by Guntrisoft (15 Jan 2017 10.31pm)

They picked up a team on the brink of going out of business and in danger of dropping to League One. Right now we are a multi million pound club that's not even (yet) in the Premier League relegation zone. I'm not sure we're in a worse position than when they took over, so I don't get what we're meant to be conceding here.... Edited by Part Time James (15 Jan 2017 10.13pm)

Edited by Guntrisoft (15 Jan 2017 10.31pm) The thing is old fart, you don't question or critique their decision making, you post deliberately inflammatory posts because you are a sad old man. The board should be criticised when they make mistakes, and applauded when they make good decisions. Unfortunately you live in a cesspit of misery and can only ever see darkness. I am sure you will regale us once again with your tails of being a high flying executive and how you could do a much better job. A cross between Billy Liar and Reggie Perrin. Still, if you glean just a little happiness from our current predicament then well done you.

H. Apart from the longest spell in the top flight and an fa cup final you mean. Oh and two best premiership finishes. Arguably they've achieved a lot. But sure things a tricky at the moment so let's forget what they have achieved at palace, even though its probably at least on a par with our most successful achievements and just focus on the last twelve months

Thanks for your concern by the way - but I live a wonderful and lucky life, full of family, Palace and wealth. Keep taking your Tourettes tablets...

As a well-known "Old Fart" on this website I can hardly believe this view from another elderly person. As a "sycophant" what I have to say is that to save the club from oblivion after a decade of the buffoon Jordan is pretty superb for starters. Four seasons so far in the Premier, an FA Cup Final and not bad perrformencaes until our current malaise is not all that shabby? Even if we go down which is by no means certain yet another season in the top league will be an all-time record (five seasons up). Not all that appalling really?

It doesn't seem to me that SP, or the board is out of its depth. I was an AP faithful throughout, and I was disappointed to see him sacked - it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Souare had not been injured etc., but I think that AP rolled the dice, lost, and got what he deserved. I now support Sam Allardyce, Sam has a different view of things, and is trying to make the best of what lays infront of him. The same can be said for SP and the board. They didn't seem to me to be career football club owners. Through it all, they have been brilliant. We are lucky to have them. They were supporters of the team, and successful businessmen to boot. They saw the club in need, they were in a position to help out, and they stepped in. I guess that they could have sat on the sidelines, come on forums and slagged off the previous management, boasted about being successful businessmen and criticised grammar - but they put their money where their mouth is. They seem to me to being doing the best that they can and they should get some credit for that. It seems to me that this is all about doing what we can. AP did, although it didn't work out for him, he didn't fail on purpose, he just wasn't able to turn it around. Sam is doing the same thing, hopefully he will have more luck at it. However, I am a supporter and will fulfil my role to the best of my ability - given everything else going on in my life. Same as you OP. You must have your faults, you apparently have a load of cash and the vision of a successful businessman and if the best, most productive way that you can come up with supporting your club is to post these sorts of posts, then good on you.

By the way OP. Since you like grammar, I think your choice of the word "Sycophants" is wrong. If I understand the term, a "sycophant" is someone who flatters someone in a non-genuine way, usually the recipient is someone who is more senior, in a position of authority or is somehow otherwise in a position to grant favour or benefit. Usually the motive is to gain some kind of reward, benefit or other advancement. My support of AP, SP and the board was completely genuine. Further, my support of SA, SP and the board is also completely genuine now. There is also no obsequious motive behind my support. I think the term sycophant was intended to be inflammatory, rather than accurate, but that does render your constant griping of other's grammar rather hollow.
