Well his decision making for the first and third goals yesterday has certainly given the new GK coach plenty to work on

I have only seen brief highlights but to me Hennessey coming out were both poor decisions and done without conviction.
Very poor!

Why we didn't put Fat Andy W in goal which would have 100% guaranteed clean sheets for the rest of the season, and we could have paid him in pies, is a total mystery.

Sorry but like many other players he's sh!t at present.

Its pathetic - they get paid millions and we make excuses their confidence is down ... oh poor f**king lambs ...

Try working a bit harder and for each other ...

I do think the sentiment about us signing big names is one to think about. Burnley, Bournemouth, WBA, they don't have superstars

Time to build a team of guys with something to prove.

Unfortunately he has never filled me with any confidence. It's ok to come out but for fcuk sake come out with some conviction. Everything he does is half hearted and almost cowardly. We have conceded so many goals because of his shall I Sharnt I decision making.

To be fair to him. with such a unstable defense in front of him I am sure he is always in 2 minds of what to do partly because he is so unsure what his defenders are going to do.Leaving him like the rest of us guessing. I think the main complaint is he needs to be more vocal with how he is going to react, But I agree he needs replacing

No more time for being fair. He's had more than enough games to prove he's prem quality and he's proved he isn't. Like Kelly he's just not good enough even when playing well, but throw in a complete lack of confidence and belief and they look woeful.
People belittle the lack of confidence line, yet it's the most severe problem we've got. If we take the lead do we as fans believe we'll hold on? If we go a goal behind, no matter how well we're playing, do we believe we can get back or do we hang our heads and go "Here we go again" with a sigh? Why do you believe a player is going to be any different after a whole year of things going against you regularly. No matter how well you play, someone makes a massive error, you concede a worldy or you get a bent ref and it all just builds up.
How much they earn is a total red Herring. If we double their wages will their confidence improve?
Without confidence a simple game becomes hard. Without confidence you think too much and are scared to take a risk, especially if the fans aren't with you. You become reactive not proactive and are slow off the mark. Right now we look like the England team.
A new manager was supposed to give us the push to get out of this funk, but two of the worst/bent decisions I've seen vs Watford and Swansea saw Sam totally screwed over in his only period where new manager bounce was gonna help.
No it's not all the refs fault, but in this constant stream of poor decisions against us, these came at dead the wrong time for Sam. He has a mountain to climb and our only chance is if this is a record low points season for staying up.

No we don't!

What we DO need is a defensive leader on the lines of John Terry to general and organise a headless defence.

After that the ball we desperately need a calm, ball-holding creative midfielder to give ammunition to our forwards.

Previously (before SA) we let in goals but at least scored nearly as many but now we just let in silly goals and have no firepower.

Jules is 37 Most keepers 'sell by date ' is a couple of years beyond that at least . I don't know why Speroni was replaced but that he is considered good enough for the bench would maybe say he is not past it and to be honest could not be any worse than WH who is a (I thought he had turned the corner with some good performances before Christmas) disaster waiting to happen .
Put Jules back in and prove the doubters wrong

Sorry the incident in the first half where a ball into the box for our keeper to catch wasn't even claimed as DD left it for him, sums up how poor Hennessey is right now.
Agreed we need a dominant/angry centre half and a Wanyama type in midfield and we may need to take a risk on a championship player or unknown foreigner, cos attracting someone to a relegation fight won't be easy.
Last season Leicester proved that value and excellence was out there if you look beyond the sexy big names, with Kanté.
That's been our downfall trying to go all big and sexy at the expense of our squad and work ethic.

To be fair the best keeper in the world with our defence at the moment would still struggle. 3 players around Antonio first goal and all couldn't see/be with him, second goal worldly strike but how did Carroll get so much space at the back stick without a challenge ? Third goal looked like Burnley all over again, 3 passes and Lanzini away, cool finish. Either the defence has gone to pot or its cover since 2015. Whilst Souare added value cannot believe it is his loss compared to say Williams at Swansea who has produced this large dip.
