I feel that Palace need a new captain. After Jedinak left there has been a void.

I love Dann but he isn't a leader in my opinion and since being given the armband his performances have dropped. I imagine the weight of this responsibility is part of that.

Who in the current team could take over?

Personally I would go for Macarthur, any thoughts?

I like the idea of Fonte. If we can get him that would be great but If United are interested as Ive read I can't see it happening.

Punch for me. Only trouble is that captaincy move may result in Dann transfer to another club. Is it not possible to share captaincy out across batches of games to key players so as to offer professional development?

I was worried a few seasons back we would lose Dann. On current form can't see anybody wanting him? What have you seen in puncheon to warrant the captaincy?

And yes a new captain would be good, preferably a new signing who hopefully has some leadership qualities and some bollocks

Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in

I'm not sure I see anyting in Puncheon that screams capatain.

With regards to sharing I suppose thats a possibility as In Dann controls the defence keeps them organised etc.

Then Macarthur ot whoever can help with the midfield and attack ensuring their pressing and finding space etc.

McArthur is not captain material from what I can tell, he doesn't communicate as much as required by your captain. Delaney and Flamini are the only other candidates.

Puncheon.

Cares more than anyone. Regularly geeing up the others around him, showing passion. He's one of our own.

There in lies a big problem. We need leaders.

Macarthur could become more vocal he has the attitude on the pitch.

Delaney doesnt have the temperment for it and makes bad decisions. I like Flamini but he I feel needs to be here a bit longer before that decision.

I know people believe Pardew got rid of our leaders and he certainly treated Jedi badly, but did we have many beforehand?

Definately take it off Dann and let him concentrate on being a decent centre back , which he hasn't been this year.
Puncheon ? I'm assuming this is a joke.
MacArthur is the only option , like him as a player, not sure he's a captain though.
The fact we haven't got a 'captain like 'figure is the real problem.
