Sorry if theres a thread elswhere, couldnt find it I would have thiught that, since we already have Remy on loan, tge other priority would be higher for Downing, given our weakness on the left side?

There's certain players who I despise and this bloke's one of them. I couldn't stand Adebayour and then he joined my beloved team. Nightmare!!! Even worse were my feelings toward Andros Townsend and that's gone the same way. But please, please, please do NOT let this happen, Sam!

Jenkinson's not a bad player but his injuries and limited match time seem to have dampened some of the excitement around him as a kid. He looked pretty poor on loan at West Ham I thought. More to the point though, he's a right back.. I would have thought this was our least needed position at the back. Whether you like Ward or not, I can't see anyone prioritising a new right back over someone on the opposite flank.

Several rumours now say could happen by the weekend. Feel a bit sorry for Ward but getting a quality RB for £3m is good business. Priority is still obviously the LB position, but there are plenty of rumours linking Palace with Schlupp or Brady, so hopefully that position will be covered fairly soon

I think it is a less needed position, but Ward has been out of sorts for well over a year now, whether played at left or right back. Jenkinson should be an improvement and for £3m would be a good bit of business. And given we seem to be being quoted silly money for possible left backs, maybe this is just about getting Kelly out of the first team for the time being and we'll leave Ward at left back.
