Feeling mildly positive after Bolton...

Didn't watch the Bolton match, but from the highlights, I was very pleased to see a fitter Remy in action (fingers crossed). He did what I have been longing for Palace to do for years now: connecting and making fast, slick passes into shots at goal - he looked mustard - with Benteke and him...I'm very positive about staying up this year. Then Julian with a clean sheet - granted it was Bolton - but it's only confidence and match fitness with him - that's a plus too. Other bench players got a run too and managing a 0-0 is a good thing. If we get a Ben Davies type of LB then I'd feel even better. (BTW, nice to see Zaha ripping a defender to shreds for IC! [Link] Poor bugger didn't have a chance! LOL!) Feeling a little more positive!

Glad you're feeling positive Fresh Prince. I on the other hand had hope we'd smash them four nil so that a couple of players like Kai Kai and Andros Careersend could get some confidence.

The only real concern is getting through an extra game that we could've done without. I guess we could use it as a chance for players to get fit.

This game was always a potential banana skin and we came through intact, unlike three other Premiership teams who lost against lower league opposition.Even mighty Liverpool could only manage a draw at home against Plymouth today,so all in all,not too bad.

liverpool made 9 changes and had an average age of 21. I don't really think you can make any comparison.

We didn't concede which was a positive but then again we failed to score against a league 1 team. If you asked an independent observer who was the prem team they would not be able to tell you.

For the Bolton replay, yes, in the PL, no.

I was listening on radio commentators made good point. Our problem lies in mid field. We need a new Jedi but a more mobile one who can pass. It's been said before but defence starts in mid field.

Saw on match of the day Cambell linked up well with Remy. I was ok with result clean sheet and chance to give some players a run out

Although Liverpool brought on 3 first teamers, were at fortress Anfield and playing a team who ply their trade in the Second Division.
Would suggest their result was possibly more of an embarrassment than ours.

Jules doesn't seem to have lost any of his agility, and his reflexes look as sharp as ever.

Was impressed with the lightning speed at which he bounced back to his feet after that important first-half save at his near post.

Wayne is not so nimble but he has a longer reach and a better kick.

On balance, while he's keeping clean sheets, I'd stick with Jules.

A good point - one which I and others have been saying for a while now. But before that we need a LB. Unfortunately we can't bank on always having Remy and Benteke uninjured too. Let's pray for a good transfer window.

In fairness we looked alright with Remi up front. The sooner he's properly fit the better. Obviously when he wasn't on in the second half we looked poor.

He did look good but please remember we were playing a team two divisions below us.! I think he will be good with Benteke as well but let us not be overoptomistic with a draw against Bolton from a Division 1.
