I was embarrassed to witness that first half effort or non existent effort on Tuesday. What rubbish Allardyce talking about fatigue, lack of interest more like. On the same night Arsenal were 3-0 down with about 20 mins left, and with their 'fatigue' managed to pull the game back 3-3.
We are not fit enough - it's glaringly obvious.
What was the manager doing slouched in his seat for 80% of the match, for gods sake he's supposed to be employed on loads -a- money, to keep us up, I thought Millen had been promoted to gaffer !!
Please please Allardyce, stop our players keep playing the ball sideways or backwards it's driving us all mad.
I just wonder whether something happened at the club end of 2015, when this terrible form started, behind the scenes ??
And what was that all about Salako getting fired.

It's getting so boring reading thread after thread with people with little or no footballing knowledge trying to dissect our problems and come up with all the answers to our problems. For goodness sake, give the guy a chance. He's been left with a huge mess that is going to take time to clean up. Did you really expect him to show up in the dressing room and abrakadabra things were great again?

If you really care, go get yourself some coaching badges, apply for the job yourself. You might change your opinion.

I'd be more embarrassed about my spelling. How deep should he route the them to? Route 66?

Yeah and whose fault is that about our lack of fitness?? It was Pardew paying lip service to pre-season. Newcastle fans warned us that our fitness levels would drop eventually. Tony Pulis took us to a training camp in Austria in 2014 and made us the fittest team in the Premier, which Pardew benefited from for half a season. Big Sam would have made sure fitness was a priority as well, which will be evident this summer

I must admit I thought BS was wrong to bang on about fatigue since he's already giving the players their excuse for a lack of effort. The psychology was wrong.

More or less every small-medium sized club struggles at one point or another in the Premier League.

Here are a few I can think of in recent memory and all are our size or bigger;

Norwich, Swansea, Boro, Derby, Reading, West Brom, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Burnley, Birmingham City, Cardiff...

Then much bigger clubs who have had a challenging season or two in the Prem;

Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham...

Bottom line; did anyone really think that we would cruise along in the top 10 forever? Football for our sort of club is very cyclical.

We had a team that worked well,but due to players getting past their best,replacements needed to be found.On paper it looked like we were upgrading, but it doesn't always work that way.We are not a club that can just keep buying players till it works so yes it is cyclical and I agree that we should accept that we have no given right to stay in the premier league.

That settles it then, it's cyclical, which I agree with to a point, so let's accept its nothing to do with an inept manager who doesn't value points or respect their worth and go quietly (he's chucked away at least 6 because of poor game management before looking at the wider picture of fitness, focus, open football etc etc)

Lucky Parish is our owner and not that accepting of underperforming, and anyway, there are at least 3 worse teams than us we should be finishing above.
