It's been a few days now since Tuesday nights disaster...and thinking about things - the actions from the fans and the response from the players may just be the turning point of the season.

We have sent the players a clear message...we love this club, supported the team with incredible enthusiasm over the past few years...and we are not prepared to accept that level of performance.

A number of players have made statements supporting what happened and promising to change things. Parish and Big Sam have said pretty much the same.

I think/hope we have now reached our lowest point of the season and now things need to improve. It's been said on here before, we have to now give the team a clean slate and recreate that incredible support and atmosphere we did only a few months ago.

Not a disaster but a massive disappointment that somehow on some level we knew was coming.

Have you or anyone got any links to player reactions to Swansea at home?

I agree on... 'we have to now give the team a clean slate and recreate that incredible support and atmosphere we did only a few months ago.'

I followed the Daily Mail links and read reports from both Ward and Delaney acknowledging that they totally understood why the fans were so upset and how the players need to take more responsibility.

I agree totally in that one.The thing is when players put on their red and blue colors , they should be almost ready to die for their club. The attitude needs to be upped quite a lot.And please get in some youngsters if not they are willing do put in a real effort.
I expect Sullai kaikai is back and ready for the cup match against Bolton

With the right additions in the transfer window and Big Sam's training techniques starting to work we should see a better team, it can't get any worse than Tuesday, that's for sure.

*Lifted* fron the Daiy Fail:

Delaney believes the time has passed for 17th-placed Palace to think their collective talent means they will not be involved in the fight for survival, and has demanded his team-mates accept the reality.

“If anyone thought they were not in a scrap, they know now,” said the 35-year-old. “It is all good saying ‘We are too good and we are this and that’.

“We are right in the middle of it now and it is time to stand up and be counted. People say the quality we have but we are way, way, way below where we should be. We cannot make any excuses anymore. We are in a relegation scrap for the long haul, so it is time to saddle up.

“He (Allardyce) has got a track record but we cannot rely on that. It is going to take hard work.

“It is the first time in five seasons I have been here that the fans have turned like that. They were within their rights to complain but in the second half they got behind us. It is important we keep them onside because this is going to be a long road.

“We are in a scrap now. The way to get out of it is by sticking together, digging in and working hard. Hopefully the manager can get us on the right course. We have a long stretch and a lot to work on.”

The most encouraging thing about his quote is that he didn't make excuses. Honestly, I think it'd be fair to acknowledge how tired they were after getting just two days to recover. I know Wilf can sometimes blow hot and cold but he looked exhausted at the beginning ot the match, and only found his legs halfway through the game. Same was true for a few of the players.

Really encouraging to see the players accept responsibility. They know we won't stay up because of magic. It's all about graft from now until the end of the season.

From my point of view the reaction of the fans was understandable but disappointing .
For me the team were nervous and lacking in confidence. But had we been awarded the penalty when Benteke was blatantly brought down we most likely would have gone in 1-0 up and been cheered to the rafters.
I hope we are not attracting supporters as fickle as the likes of Arsenal or West Ham.
I was more embarrassed by some of our supporters than I was upset by the result
