I’ve never proclaimed to be the font of all knowledge when it comes to the transfer targets of CPFC, however when it comes to Louis Elliot Moult (known as ‘Moulty’ to his friends) I do actually know a fair amount. A year or so ago I was taking a mid-afternoon stroll along the beach when a corked bottle washed up on shore. Inside the bottle was a scroll containing many detailed facts about a player that I had never even heard of before, yes, you guessed it, that player was none other than the same Louis Moult that we are discussing in this very thread. The message started with some career history. Moult, a prolific goal scorer in Stoke City's academy and reserve side, appeared in a Premier League game in March 2010. After this Moult struggled to gain a place in the Stoke squad and was sent out on loan to Bradford City, Mansfield Town, Accrington Stanley and to Mansfield for a second time. He was released by Stoke in June 2012 and signed for Northampton Town. He subsequently played non-league football for Nuneaton Town and Wrexham, before moving to Scottish club Motherwell in 2015. Doesn’t really scream pedigree does it? I believe if we went for this player we may also be at risk of losing him to suspension, as the message-in-a-bottle went on to describe how when Moult made his Conference debut for Alfreton against Kidderminster Harriers on 21 January 201, he was sent-off just before half time for a poor challenge on Harriers midfielder Kyle Storer. This one unfortunately gets the thumbs down from me. Not good enough for CPFC.

Did your message in the bottle tell us anything about his qualities compared to a certain Frazier Campbell Tez...? A lot of people seemed impressed this week by his running and work ethic (ffs a bit of running for several million a year) but it seems incomprehensible he would not be an upgrade on him.
