Talks**** Last Night

We listened to TS on the way home last night just to see what reaction there was to the game & were gobsmacked by a Palace 'fan' called William who rang in. I'd tried to forget about it but have been reminded by several colleagues this morning about what a great advert he was for our club. The conversation starts with a we're s*** & should've kept Pardew rant which descends into a "who the f*** is Allardyce" one at which point he is put on the spot. His main points seem to be: We (as fans) would rather be entertained, lose 5-4 every week & get relegated than retain EPL football next season. Allardyce has no track record. Allardyce was no good in the transfer window. Allardyce left Sunderland as he could see they were going nowhere. No idea what Allardyce's last job was. All of which just developed into a verbal bun fight which was just plain ridiculous. He seemed pretty convinced that he spoke for a majority of us but I genuinely hope he wasn't & is just an example of the loud minority I seem to see/hear at every game and, more often, on forums/FB etc. Please tell me he's not the voice of us all... I heard it too and it was cringeworthy - Willy was a complete dickhead but just the sort of idiot that Talks***e love to use to get reactions and phone calls. They lapped it up and kept him on for far too long just to wring every ounce of stupidity out of him. All the phone calls consisted of Gooners and Palace fans moaning with all of our fans distancing us from Willy Dickhead but all expressing the reality that we are really in the relegation dog fight now !

it was so bad my lad was utterly bemused & I was starting to believe that during the last 40 odd years I'd been brainwashed into believing that what we're going through was part of being a Palace fan. For a while I thought it was an actor/set up but it quickly became clear that wasn't the case. I particularly liked it when he accused the presenters of being p****d
