This manager should be freakin' crucified (well, figuratively, of course)

He's worse than the last one. Didn't chabge a thing, still playing with Kelly and Ward (a right footed player) as wingbacks.

Townsend and Cabaye were amazing against Arsenal up to this minute (well, amazing for Palace's level). They're the ones who have run the most and covered the most ground. They can absolutely press and compete at this level. Cabaye in the center is essential. Benteke wouldn't press if Cabaye wouldn't give him the impulse.

You just can't, absolutely CAN'T, substitute one of those players when the team is pushing for agoal and getting back into the game.

Townsend has indeed been amazing. I am amazed he is paid for the crap he has largely served up today.

We have another game in 48 hrs. We will start it 0-0 and have a good chance of winning as opposed to being 2-0 down with virtually no chance of getting a point.

As for the full backs etc, BFS has the same players but with more injuries, what do you expect him to do?

the dignified don't even enter in the game

And our other fullbacks are?

We aren't getting anything from this game. Rest him for Swansea, a must win, and put Mutch in the shop window. Not ideal but don't mind he was subbed off, we've lost this one.

He's probably saving Cabaye and Townshend for Tuesday

I see little difference with our new manager we are just as bad now with clueless substitutions poor defending and no masterplan. Looks like we wasted a lot of cash in changing managers!

Yeah because it's so easy for a new manager to come in and, in his second game (even though his first didn't really count as he'd only had one training session) beat Arsenal at the Emirates with more or less the same squad that only won 6 games in a full year.

Calm down he's only been here a couple weeks, barely a fit starting XI, he probably doesn't even know everyone at the club. Away to Arsenal is one of the most difficult games in the season, this loss won't define our season.

we've looked a much better team since Cabaye went off. Punch has been way more involved and we've passed it much better.

There have been absolutely 0 shots, both on or off target after Cabaye went off.

The team was pressing, we had had 3 corner kicks in a row, Townsend's shot, a few difficult Cech saves and Arsenal was shacking. The goal was in the air.

And the he took Cabaye off.....

He's been in English football for the past 20 years.

If he doesn't know all players in the first 3 leagues by the middle name and all their qualities, then he's no manager. Even I know all the players in the Premier League and the Championship and what foot they kick the ball with.

Why hire him and pay him millions if he doesn't know anything? You just wait for him to learn? Jeez, you could have gotten my 7 year old son and paid him waiting for him to learn
