Not happy with Big Sam

So are Palace's ambitions now to be a club that just does what it can to stay up and take the prem cash? Like a West Brom or Sunderland ? Bringing in Sam is hitting the prem panic button, of that there is no doubt but I'd rather yo-yo for a few seasons and keep a good football philosphy and keep a good focus on the youth No one wants relegation but because of the money it's always only about the short term, staying up and getting the cash. That may be what the board want but is that what you as a fan are content with?

What would you want us to be then? Genuine question. We're never going to be title contenders at this level. We could be a Southampton and be challenging for a UEFA cup place, which we could do under Big Sam eventually? Obviously the emphasis this season will be to stay up but after that who knows?

I think Palaces ambitions lie in taking one step at a time, when we are sitting just above relegation I have no clue what your perspective is. We aren't a 'huge' club and there is an obvious long term plan to expand the foundations ie: youth system , stadium, sponsorship, access etc etc... It's fine to hope for a top 10 finish when we are doing great and fine to expect more if we are exceeding expectations but the fact is at present we do not have the strength in depth which takes time, we do not have the funding the likes of Chelsea have and we do not have a safe position to ask for more of the team. Just enjoy the rollercoaster and the good times.

That may be what the board want but is that what you as a fan are content with? Not happy about Fat Sam but actually we should be aiming to be WBA. Solid mid table PL team. We are a gazillion yrs behind so many clubs in both the PL and the Championship. For all the money that is sloshing around we will have to spend a lot on our infrastructure, whilst trying to progress on the pitch.
