New manager - points to prove by the players - known for tighter defence and better organisation - no excuses now to underperform - transfer window looms.

Fans need to back the players - and perhaps our luck is due to change (despite Ref Clusterf**k at Watford).

Is it just a year since Chungy's last minute screamer at Stoke! How times change.

I for one am rather curious how BS will sort our defensive fragilities with Scott Dann out of form and lack of quality on the wing backs. Might be getting some defenders in in Jan.

I think you will find that this will psychologically lift all the players in the squad. Some players (Chung,Townsend, Campbell) will surely see it as a golden opportunity to show SA what they are capable of in a new manager relationship.

Maybe claterbugger may not be so keen on upsetting the big man.

Agreed. Particularly now they have a manager who hasn't publicly announced that Cabaye is on more money because is better than all of them.
IIRC it was against big Sam's Sunderland at home last season that Pardew announced that it was his "best" eleven / team starting. Genius. Still least he knew how to motivate.

Yes it will be especially interesting to see if he can get Cabaye to become more effective and have a more positive impact on games.

Maybe relieve Dann with the captain's bind for a start to sort out our defence?

Brilliant appointment by Parish, who has saved the Club from almost certain relegation under Pardew who only has himself to blame for the failure in the league since last Christmas.
Sure Sam's arrival will be a massive morale boost for the squad.

Totally agree. Dann has gone downhill fast since being made captain. He can be a great player again, but he's never going to be a great captain. But who have we got who can take on the mantle of Jedinak?

I say give it to Jimmy Mac.

I agree but managers like to have captains that stand over their teammates rather than being 6 inches shorter.
