Can it get any worse for us, What a patient lot we are, This really brings it home how much of a relegation fight we are in.

Played League Position
Last 6 18 position (Relegation position)
Last 10 20 position (bottom of the league)
all games 17 position (one above relegation)

Well we aren't in the relegation zone so clearly it can get much worse for us

Saw this over the weekend - I would be happy if we finish as predicted

Taken from Football365, I couldn't agree more.

"If losing to Chelsea was a crime then the prisons would be full, but there is an inevitability to Crystal Palace’s defeats. A large percentage of supporters have begun to accept an impending relegation battle that simply should never be on the cards for a club with these resources.

Here’s an experiment: Write out Burnley, Hull, Swansea and Sunderland’s teams on a piece of paper, and then write out the one at Alan Pardew’s disposal. How many from each club get into Palace’s XI? Michael Keane and Steven Defour at Burnley, perhaps. Robert Snodgrass at Hull. Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson at Swansea. Jermain Defoe and Patrick van Aanholt at Sunderland. Not many more, that’s for sure.

Yet these are now Palace’s direct rivals, thanks to Pardew’s under-performance. Burnley have two more points than Palace, Sunderland one less and Swansea and Hull three fewer. That should be an embarrassment for a club who bought Christian Benteke, Steve Mandanda, James Tomkins and Andros Townsend this summer.

Here’s another, slightly easier, experiment: Imagine how much more Sam Allardyce, sitting in the wings coughing pointedly at opportune moments, could do with this squad. While relegation was no danger, Palace supporters could afford to turn up their noses at Allardyce’s pragmatism. With relegation a growing possibility, there is no counter-argument to the logic."

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I also have done my calculations and I can confirm that it's great news. We are not going down. Have a great Christmas.

If we didn`t waste our points to bottom rivals as Burnley Swansea for example we could at least have had 19 points, so we got to stop øloosing points loke that.
I think we will slowly climb the table and that starts agains Watford.Next Arsenal, cant expect a
nything from that one, but then it should be possible to continue climbing.
If we can not do that,,,, Pardew OUT!
and for God sake get Very Big Sam in!

There should be no more talks of bad luck, injuries etc - 2016 is a disaster with the group of players we have.

Indeed these injuries we have.
How many of them are guaranteed first team established starters ?
I have Souare.

Others close:-

Wickham in and out on the fringes.
Mandanda maybe / maybe not better than Hennessey.

Is that a lot ?

Just thought of another possible , Tomkins who just started being stand in right back.

So no one else is disagreeing , the injury crisis amounts to one established regular first team player out .
Souare.

Who would Burnley, Hull, Swansea and Sunderland take from our squad? Benteke and Zaha for sure. Maybe MacArthur if they watch our games, Cabaye and Townsend if they don't.

It's not like the rumours are flying about how great our squad is and the big boys are going to pick it apart. With injuries and an aging midfield, this is hardly a top-half squad.
