Would you take him over Pardew as the manager?

He organizes his sides well, and a criticism of his teams is that they can be a bit too defensive minded. But, he has done well on a limited budget with two teams. I would say yes, but it is a big gamble. Dirk Schuster would be another one in that mould.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

A bit risky but then Muffin the Mule would be an upgrade.

Straws. Clutching etc. Why? He worked wonders at Burton and Birmingham. There are other Championship managers who on current form will be destined for bigger things including Jaap Stam and Slaviša Jokanović at Reading and Fulham respectively

Burton and Birmingham. Glad we are aiming that high. I'm going for unemployed and available. To me, the argument is purely academic as, right or wrong, I don't see SP firing AP any time soon. Mind you, Dirk Schuster is a good manager. So, if this thread were about who do you want, he'd be on the list with several excellent managers in Spain prior to looking at Gary Rowett.

I would take him or jokanovic, or anyone else with a half decent record. Having padrew in charge is extrmley frustrating. We were frustrating back in the championship under people like peter taylor and trevor francis but we have a much better squad these days so its even more frustrating.
