Despite personally criticising our signing of him, I thought he was exactly what we've been missing for the half he was on against Man Utd. He was leading the team, communicating, keeping everyone motivated and most importantly switched on. Maybe it was just a first chance where he was eager to impress but you'd hope he's like that every game. I for one hope he starts against Chelsea. Ledley looked ok but he is still capable of a mistake and is not really a defensive midfielder regardless.

Agree, thought he was excellent yesterday - shame it looks as though he may now be injured (I've seen on other threads). Story of the season!

Begs the question why he hasn't been brought on in one of the many games where we've needed to grind out a point/hold onto a lead with 20 mins to go.
