Just been looking at the fixture list of the bottom seven teams in the Premiership over the Christmas New Year period and it looks like we have by far the toughest run of games!

It would be a real Christmas miracle if we don't find ourselves in the bottom three relegation places come the New Year.

The team has the talent but has to show a bit more effort especially with concentration and above all fire up the passion several notches to get us through this, the home games will be vital and we the fans will have to play our part.

Come on Palace!

It's the premiership every game is tough that's why I was well chuffed with a point at hull and a late equaliser made it sweeter!

That's how we've found ourselves on Tv 3 times in a row.

It'll either be pretty good or disastrous and the pressure will be on AP with the country watching.

4 Games in a row on tv. United,Chelsea,Watford,Arsenal can see us getting a point at best from them games and that would be Watford away as we do well there. In saying that they are 7th at the minute.

Whoever is in charge for the rest of the season our fate will be decided by the following home fixtures
- Sunderland
- Hull
- Middlesborough
- Watford
- Burnley
- Everton
6 wins will be required from those games in my opinion which added to our current 15 means we will need to pick up odds and sods elsewhere which we might do if we get a bit of luck along the way.
Likely that if we do not win those then "there may be trouble ahead"!!

Totally agree, just the one point looks plausible making our failure to gets a good tally of points against Burnley, Swansea and Hull all the more disastrous.
Will the US investors put up with our placing in the league after the Arsenal game??I doubt it, even if they don't understand football, according to Mr Transitional.

The only thing that could work in our favour is complacency on the part of the so-called big teams. Saints looked like they turned up expecting to win at a walk and lost. Despite lacking in quality, Swansea and Hull were playing with hearts on sleeves.

A win against Manure (however improbable) would erase some of the recent bad memories.

When you put it like that, and you're most likely right of course, it looks like a big ask at the moment

I dont think it was complacency with Southampton, They had a European tie a few days later. They have also only won one away game this season so would not have come to us brimming with confidence. In truth they were taking it easy to avoid injuries. I cannot see top clubs coming to us and being complacent its why they are top clubs they win games.

I agree but the effort, passion and concentration are the core problems. The Palace of old would have relished challenges such as Man U, Arsenal and in the process fought way above their weight with total belief supported by a tremendous team spirit and with it togetherness.
There is something missing at the moment and whilst I do not agree that he has lost the dressing room completely,I do believe that there are factions who whilst going out there to perform to their best aren't prepared to give that extra in order to fulfill what is needed when you are playing let's say higher calibre teams. It is the managers job to sort that out and perhaps look at himself in the process. This is in my opinion the root problem.

Bollocks, this is the pl, this is palace. Totally conceivable that we beat man utd and Chelsea then need 2 wins from the above games with half dozen draws thrown in to survive. Football isn't played on paper!
