He is getting better and better every week and he deserves more than this. I am afraid that he is playing so well that he will surely receive high bids in January and Parish will put him on his way. Then justify it by bringing in quality players who underperform in Pardew's system. When he goes, I will feel like a sad Mum dropping her off her son at university. He's grown into a great player while wearing a Palace shirt. I hope he never leaves.

We'll be fending off some huge bids for him in January. Slap a £40 million price tag on him.

I get the feeling that if he goes, Pardew must also, because we won't be able to replace him. Without him pushing the ball forward, Townsend will have to step up in a massive way on the right.

He was fantastic today and deserves to play in a team with some organisation and purpose. He'll be gone in jan and who could blame him. unbelievable Townsend plays for England and Wilf can't get a call up. Southgate needs to wake up and persuade him to stay with England! We need to get a new manager in asap to convince Wilf things will improve here

We're the red and blue army!!

You're all so right - so few English players play with that level of flair - he reminds me of the the old style Brazilian wingers (the kind they don't make any more). A loss to England and potentially Palace at this rate.

What does he deserve more than? Playing for a team that welcomed him back , when he completely failed at Man Utd, round the corner from where he grew up and earning a fortune , in front of fans that love him .
Not exactly working down the mines in the 50s is he
