Loved that after the third goal with Super Al acknowledging Parish in the stand. Has been a tough week for them both but Parish proven right to back AP.

AP is the best manager we have had since Sir Steve, and the criticism he's received has been appalling. He is without doubt the best manager to take us forward.

I will always back AP and glad he's shut people up today. Looking forward to that smug grin on MOTD!

Well said, Jules 111 - and delighted your own judgement has been vindicated today at least.

I will always back AP, since he has arrived he has brought in a much higher calibre of player and transformed the club off the pitch. People too quick to have a pop.

I also think we have a great manager, I think he puts in a good shift, willing to use subs, plays nice football and can keep a team of multi millionaires playing and like today playing for the badge and not a pay packet. Yes, I believe Coppell was great, unique and probably put our club on the world map!

Luckily, I am a realist and know we are not a huge club, and we really are trying to keep our self up, and not win the league, we are Palace, not a Man City, Chelsea, or Spurs! thank goodness!

Let's not get carried away, good 3 points as it was, one Swallow doesn't make a Summer and whether SP was right to back Pardew remains to be seen.

The critisism that Pardew has received has been entirely warranted given his appalling record and the way he has addressed it. To repeat earlier comments he is damn lucky to have a Chairman like SP as I can't think of any other who would not have given him his P45.

Just for the record it hasn't shut me up and he now has to prove that this wasn't a one hit wonder and build on today and that involves giving team matters through the week is 100% focus.

Bring back Brolin

I think there's no doubt that we play better football under Pardew, compared to previous managers. However football isn't just about attacking, and defensively we have been utterly abismal. If he can sort out how to stop us leaking goals at the back, we'd be a fantastic side to watch; and have all the ingredients to become a top 10 team.

For me we need a rock-solid defensive midfielder, similar to Romeu for Southampton, or Matic at Chelsea. We lack a real physical presence in the centre of the park; I just hope our scouting network can locate a viable option.

Having said that, failure to pick up 3 pts at Hull next week, for me, warrants serious consideration over his position.

Romeu was excellent today, we definitely need someone in that mould.

..we are playing football in the Premiership, so I think he has been addressing it and your opinion of appalling is appalling.
