Puel has blamed the pitch for Forster's mishap, and also said that it was difficult to play against a team 2-0 up on a bad pitch. We're in the top of the Holmesdale and the pitch looked in good condition. Would like to know if anyone closer to the grass has an opinion on this, seems like a poor excuse to me. We'll get a better view of the goal after MOTD tonight. I didn't see the ball bobble at the time. Personally I think the keeper took his eye off the ball because Benteke was closing him down. Sounds like a very poor excuse to me.

Pitch looked great to me. Southampton are bad losers, they are use to being the media and pundits darlings. They looked league one standard today.

I thought the ball hit Forster's standing foot. Pitch is fine, even if it wasn't both teams had to play on it so a moot point

My old man actually commented how good the pitch looked when we got to the ground and popped out to have a look around, which is what spiked my curiosity. If a bad pitch means we get a result like that every week then I will personally go at it with a sledgehammer for no fee

We have one of the best pitches money can buy, I highly doubt it is bad shape....Still, bad workmen....

There was no bad pitch.
Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy! |
