Read a couple of things today that mentioned Parish possibly thinking about bringing in a new defensive coach to work along side the current set up. Even muted the possibility of this being Roy Hodgson. No idea if this has legs but I wonder if it's the position that's being looked at and if Chris Coleman has maybe agreed a part time coaching role along side Pardew enabling him to carry on with the welsh setup but also help shore up palaces back line. Anyway probably nothing in it....

This would be a huge step forward if we could secure either, particularly Hodgson with his wealth of experience .That clown Millen has completely and utterly failed in his role as our defensive coach and if he stays around, the clown takes us down!!

Steve will be out for around six weeks due to an operation on his knee. Speroni will surely see some action in the January F.A. Cup third round at least. What's incredible is that we still need to buy a decent 'keeper despite all the recent transactions in that position.

never understood the defensive coach role.the team is set up as an eleven who defend without the ball and attack with it.
