Is it possible in this day and age to have such a monumental fall from grace? The worrying thing is they are a much bigger club than us in terms of historical stature and fanbase. Doesn’t bear thinking about really does it. But I have a bad feeling that Parish is being a bit too Parishy here. I think we ended up with a Parish type as an overcompensation for the likes of Jordan, but any reasonable chairman would have sacked AP after Swansea wouldn’t he? Leeds made some huge errors but is Parish a bit too cautious, a bit too meek? I would say 80% of premier league chairmen would have fired AP by now? AP will never have it so good as what he had here but he has truly blown it. I just hope Parish acts soon and decisively. There is still time to sort this out but the threat of relegation looms large with our current tally of points per game – its around 0.7 I think.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. We've got six months left to save our season and I've got faith in the board. But even if we do go down, I doubt we'll fall as far as Leeds did

It would be foolish to underestimate Parrish, Pulis found that out today.
We wont do a Leeds, Charlton, QPR etc, but its not an easy job finding the right person to take charge of the team.

Not sure you could describe S Parish as cautious or meek he is probably being quite brave to stick with his man for now and it could often be the easy way out to sack the manager every few months i.e Leeds Utd

Maybe not a Leeds but I think a strong possibility of a hull or an Aston Villa of the past two seasons fa cup finalists and down they go it's the damned cup curse

Would it really be that bad? Yes it's great playing the top teams but when you have tourists sitting next to you week after week in the AW block V, who ask you "where is the megastore?" you get annoyed that there is some Palace supporter who can't get in because someone wants to see our opposition play.

in terms of proper football and its fans, It wouldn't bother me if we were relegated; yes it's financially bad for the club but it's not the end of the world, as long as the 'weed stay down then I'm happy.

Definitely not Leeds, but one from either Hull or Aston Villa will be our fate if we don't wake up. Next thing you know we'll spend 8 years trying to get back.

you old romantic.

without premiership football running a modern day club is seriously loss-making. do we have the management with big enough pockets to deal with that for long? the main stand is in desperate condition, reckon we can go another 10 years with it?

nah mate, i prefer watching us playing in the top league.

It's always possible. But anything is possible.

The problem at the moment is that everyone is trying to predict the future but no one except club insiders actually know anything. It's all speculation. Perhaps Parish has a specific plan, and if the manager does not meet his expectations then he will be let go. Perhaps Parish will stick with Pardew no matter what. I suppose all we can do is wait it out and genuinely hope Alan Pardew suddenly becomes manager of the year with us. If he does that, we'll all be happy, won't we?
