I don't think so. By all logical accounts he should, I'm pretty sure everyone will agree, but the board have stuck by him this long already. As much as I love Parish, I can't help but feel he's being extremely stubborn and I can't see that changing anytime soon

He doesnt have the integrity to walk. He will hold on regardless of results and get a big pay-off when the board finally act.

I don't think he will go yet. If we go one down next home game , I think it will be the 1st time that the majority of the crowd will be on his back.
If he fails at Palace it's all his fault. He will never get an opportunity in management like he's had with us. All the fans behind him, backed in the transfer market and loads of patience from the board.
The comment about clean sheets was f**king stupid, but at least he's been true to his word.

I think the silence from our chairman speaks volumes.

He'll stubbornly back him until he really has no ther choice which will probably be when we lose to Southampton next week.

I think he needed to go last night

..what is actually wrong with sticking with him, the players are obviously trying to get forward and they are scoring whilst doing so, we only need one or two players to fill gaps that opposing teams know more about then our team does, very very fine line here, hardly time to rid of him and bring in somebody else who doesn't like this and that and we start all over again, we are very very very entertaining.

..rubbish, I think he needs new blood and someone to remind the players of their jobs on the pitch, someone who is on it with them, Pardew is doing a good job, some of the players are doing an awful one.

No one cares if we are 'very very very entertaining' if we will be in the Championship next season. We have just spent so much money on these players, they can't win a game.

Something like 5 or 6 wins out of 35.
Worse team in England, the teams who went down from the fourth tier have more points than us on average a game.

The man is clueless. Couldn't set a team up defensively to save his life...

I'm sorry but based on what? People talk about how great we are going forward but the majority of goals we score are headers from lumps into the box or scrappy set pieces. Whilst I love the fact we seem to be scoring, just imagine how much better we could be with some organisation and a bit of slickness under a manager who actually has any form of tactics.

The same thing happened when we were winning at the start of last season and everyone over reacted the actual quality of football we were playing. Even during good times under AP, the football has never been that great at all IMO.

We're the Arthur over ere!

I now feel he should step down, but doubt he will leave of his own volition. He and Parish seem to have a very close relationship though and it won't be easy for the chairman to let him go.

On the other hand, Steve Parish is a successful businessman and probably didn't get to where he is today by letting sentimentality cloud his judgement when making tough decisions. I'm sure he will do whatever is best for the club.
