The Talksport Drive guys tonight were banging on about Gayle how many goals he's scored for Newcastle and why did we sell him blah blah blah
I put them right on Twitter explaining that he can't cut it in the premiership just as everyone has found out with other great Championship goalscorers Cameron Jerome at Norwich , Bamford at Boro and Murray with us .
Next year if Gayle gets in the side at Newcastle he won't get to 10 goals .
Also Pardew , be careful whoever wants him sacked . We are very very close to getting it right , and if he goes Im afraid Jurgen Klopp aint coming .

Play him in a pair and he will thrive, We really wasn't set up for that. All our newer strikers are 6ft plus able to play up top on their own. Would love of seen a 4-4-2 at Palace but the Managers seem to think its not doable any more or our midfield was to good.

Never had the footballing brain or workfare to play lone striker role, which is all we've played for years now. Maybe benefiz can improve him in that regard, but I'd be wary getting carried away. He's in the best side in championship and scoring for fun. Something I expect wickham would do as well. In conclusion he ain't all that

You actuaally waste your time listening to that garbage called Talksport? I listened to it once for an hour and it was just repeatative nonsense. Waste of time, Never again.

Unless Gayle has improved his all round game he still won't cut it in The Prem next season. Having decent players around him in The Champ, and he is a good finisher, is very, very different to being up against the likes of Cahill and others where he will be bullied off the ball and outpaced again.

Time will tell. 13 goals already is phenomenal whatever level you're at.

At least we will get to see him next season in The Prem but as it stands he is up against the likes of Burton, Rotherham, Brentford and Barnsley amongst others so not a massive surprise he is scoring.

He was going at more than that rate playing for us against Championship teams in the cup, seemed to score 2 or 3 every game. Still didn't cut it on the following Saturday.

He's doing very well at that level as everyone knew he would.
