Do you think Connor Wickham would be able to score as many goals as Gayle & Murray in the championship?

This isn't a thread to debate whether or not letting them go was right or to slate Wickham, it is just an honest question. Personally, I couldn't see Wickham scoring anywhere near as many goals as these 2 in the championship but he brings a lot to our team.

Yeah, I think he'd score a bucket load.

Not sure he'd out score Gayley...but he'd bag 15-20 I reckon.

I think he'd be banging them in for fun, and he'd also provide a lot for the rest of his team mates.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Because that is where he will be plying his trade next year if he's still at the club.

True, but he'd make a lot more. There has never really been doubt about Gayle's ability to find the back of the net, its just that the rest of his game isn't all that...

Both Gayle and Murray are scoring goals for fun at the moment. They could be playing Premiership football with Newcastle and Brighton next season. You might say they are Championship players but I think they can still do a good job in the Premiership given the right manager and tactics.

Based on fact or are you just predicting but passing it off as fact?

We’ll probably go down this season cos of Pardew, Brighton will go up almost certainly … and they’ll sell Murray to us again (!) and all the wallies on here who think he should still be playing for us will be appeased! A case of ‘careful what you wish for!’ and it’s really not beyond the realms of possibilities eh!

As for Wickham … he’ll be injured next year in the championship after the 1st game as it’ll be too rough & ready for his gentle bones!

And finally Gayle will be playing back in the Prem with renewed vigour and a system that accommodates him … but he’ll probably sign for Brighton as Newcastle will want something better!

Let’s just hope I’m wrong eh!

Gayle will come back to haunt us I guarantee it. He was technically the best finisher this club had had for many years. Hence why I put £100 on him at 9/1 to finish the Championship top scorer.

Pardew didn't see anything in him. Benitez did.... I know whose judgement I trust more.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
