The Global Sports Salary Survey has found that Palace have the 20th highest average player salary in world football and 11th in the Premier League.

We're only marginally behind Dortmund and higher than AC Milan, Porto, Valencia, Napoli, Leverkusen, Sevilla and plenty of other high profile Champions League teams.

Time, perhaps, to change this mentality of believing that scraping survival should be the sum of our aims.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

or even understanding players are paid to much? Money doesn't necessarily automatically bring success, in the same way as having no money automatically brings failure. We won promotion by paying next to nothing in comparison to other teams in The Championship. Team spirit is far more important than how much money is being paid.

Sometimes a club like palace has to pay higher wages to get a player to sign, clubs like Dortmund with their great history , great stadium etc can attract players that way!

I hope all our players have a relegation clause in their contracts.
Otherwise if we went down and couldn't come swiftly back we'd be stuffed !

I think if is one thing we know about Steve Parish, is that this will be covered.

So if we were in the Bundesliga we would be the 3rd highest payers but in the EPL 10th. Surprised that the likes of Stoke aren't higher than us.

11th highest average salary in the EPL. So reasonable for us to expect to be at least 11th in the league - or am I missing something.

Incredible...a team of multi-millionaires plying their trade in a 1950's stadium. The Arthur Wait Stand (where I sit) can't even provide modern toilets and civilised food outlets. Priorities have all gone bonkers. I always totally backed our consortium, CPFC2010, but as the seasons go by, I am starting to wonder whether Mr Parish and the board have lost any sense of priorities.
