Felt disgusted watching some of our so called supporters taunt stewards with racist remarks and making complete fools of themselves. Having invaded an area not allocated they bombarded stewards with verbal abuse. They had no regard for other Palace supporters, obstructing the view of real supporters who were there to watch the game. Supported Palace since early sixties so have witnessed more crowd disturbances than most. I think this rates amongst the worst instances of stupidity.

It's because of selfish idiots like them that i don't go away any more,if their own fellow Palace fans remonstrate with them they get called prawn sandwich eaters, plastics etc.

Actually a lot of them engaged with the stewards after a time. And there was a fair amount of chat between them going on.

Poor behaviour comes in many many forms, I had someone behind me screaming banal comments EVERY time Palace touched or didn't touch the ball, and didn't like it when I kept turning round to look at them.

I was in attendance with a couple of other NE Palace Exiles,we went to the Cricket club before the game and it was a very pleasant place, mainly Palace but a few Burnley supporters, good Beer and value.
At the ground we were in Upper Block right behind the goal just by the gangway separating the two sets of supporters our row was JJ
I thought the Stewards were to say the least poor, there was a large gap at the back where there was block without Burnley supporters, but when they scored they came charging over and when we equalised all hell broke out and the Stewards struggled until some quite large security blokes appeared, have to say if the Palace support close to this had been looking for trouble it could have been a bad situation - i didnot see/hear any rascist comments towards the Stewards near us- the Head steward was a young Lady( Red hair) with a microphone etc but seemed out of her depth, why Burnley dont use the end of the stand to our left which was empty by the tunnel is strange rather than letting there younger "jack the lads " occupy these seat, but what do i know!!

Sorry Brian but calling someone a Northern C~~~ is not racist. I was there and heard nothing racist whatsever, Someone posted something similar about Leicester and nobody else heard stuff like that. Burnley fans came across at us we ushered them back. Stewards didnt have a clue. Whilst you moan had the Burnley fans steamed in it would have been the ones that you are whinging about that would have helped you out. Palace fans were not looking for trouble.

I didn't see any trouble, being on the far right of the away end. But on leaving politely thanked the stewards on my way out. I think they were not used to it judging from the bemused looks they gave.
