After 11 matches we are 2 points off 10th place , having played 5 home games and 6 away compared to teams like Leicester and West Ham who have had the benefit of the extra home game. There are only 4 teams in the league who have scored more goals than us

And people are saying there are no reasons for Pardew to keep his job.

Well in that case the following should all be sacked;

Eddie Howe - 16 points from his last 19 premiership games
Tony Pulis - 17 points from his last 19 premiership games

Pardew has 20 points from his last 19 premiership games

Koeman for losing 0-5 at Chelsea
Mazzarri for losing 1-6 at Liverpool
Phelan lost 1-6 at Bournemouth

When did a Pardew palace team lose by more than 4 goals ?

Ranieri, Bilic and Puel for all having teams that qualified for Europe last season , yet are currently 14th, 17th and 10th respectively.

Well that's 8 premiership managers that are relatively currently underperforming Pardew at the moment , but we have to be the bed wetters like Newcastle,Fulham,Villa who pull the trigger too early ?

Pardew's mandate should be to keep us up ( and possibly a good cup run). He did both last year and the former the year before. He kept Newcastle up for 4 seasons and soon as they let him go they were relegated. There is no reason why he won't repeat the same , particularly with the team we have now.

And you can add to that that our net spend in the transfer window was £8.8 million, the 16th least spend in the premiership, lower than Bournemouth and Stoke who both had over twice that .Also you can add Moyes with a net spend of over £20 million to the list of managers currently underperforming Pardew .So that is actually 9,and Mourinho with a net spend of over £150 million, but only 7 points more, could make it 10 !

..sadly, you're just wasting your time on here, but it was a good read and hopefully the owners are not silly and will give Mr Pardew plenty of time to sort things.

I'm with you but there are too many plastics who can't get to the toilet quick enough cause their arses are bubbling over a few losses cause they don't understand what it's like to support a small club punching above our weight.

I know we have defensive problems but not the right time to panic.

Shocked by the Eddie Howe stat.
Our match stats are excellent, but the most important stat isn't.

Win our next 2 games and Pards will be hailed as messiah. Way too many on here with knee jerk reactions to these situations. We're playing well, results will come

5 wins in 2016 isn't really knee jerk. Can understand concerns, but just as concerning is changing manager so early in the season. Villa just keep cropping up in my thought process.
I'm confused.

..during the last 33 games including cups, we have only lost by more than one goal on five occasions and 13 times we have lost by only one goal.

..it only becomes important if you find with five games to go we are still in the same situation as now, there is no point in finding ways to rid yourself of a manager who is trying to improve the attacking play of a team and finds himself actually achieving this only to discover rotten luck and misfortune has infiltrated the defending of his team, Mr Pardew will sort this out with brass knobs.

..Swansea did well booting Monk didn't they, absolute nuts.
Look at Burnley, how many times would our fans have sacked him by now!
